Are you a Shopify Plus agency?

Yes. Herd is a Shopify Premier Partner and has been developing solutions for Shopify Plus brands since 2014.

Do we need Shopify Plus?

Not every brand does. There's a point in your journey where it may become economical to move up through the Shopify plans, as the transaction fees you are charged, reduce. Therefore depending on your revenue numbers, upgrading may actually save you more in transaction fees than the upgraded plan costs per month.

What does being a Shopify Premier Partner mean?

Shopify Premier Partner status means we're one of the top recommended agencies due to our continued work alongside Shopify. We have access to the Shopify teams, get insight into future roadmaps, and have the ability to feedback on new functionality.

Do you build custom functionality?

Yes, our software engineers will build custom Shopify solutions when a native option doesn't meet your requirements, and there isn't a third-party app solution.

Can you take over a Shopify store built by someone else?

Yes. The benefit of Shopify is that the codebase is standardised to some degree. We'd need to review your code to confirm, particularly if you are using a headless solution, but nine times out of ten it is an easy transition.

How long does a Shopify migration take?

It depends on the size of your site, your catalogue, and the number of customisations required, alongside the data migration and integrations you need. Simpler builds can be live in as little as 8 weeks.

Can we work with you on just one service?

Yes. Many of our partners start by choosing Herd for one of SEO, Development, or Paid Media and expand over time as they see the value of the work we do.

Do you use off-the-shelf Shopify themes?

If you retain us to look after your existing Shopify store, we can work with the theme you already have. For migrations and re-themes, we build using our own framework. It is based on the principles of Dawn, Shopify's reference theme, and is shaped around your brand's design and requirements, so you get a bespoke store that stays fast and is easy for your team to update.
